Inspiriert von der flackernden Kurzlebigkeit eines Filmbildes verbindet Annton Beate Schmidt verschiedenste Materialen, Textfragmente und realistische Porträts miteinander. Aufgelesene Kleinigkeiten, wie die hastig geschriebene Notiz auf einer Café Rechnung, ein Stückchen Tapete oder alte Fotos werden ihrer scheinbaren Banalität entrissen, zu einer surrealen, einer zeitgenössischen Erzählung urbanen Lebens. |
Inspired by the flickering image motion picture, Annton Beate Schmidt brings together diverse materials, text fragments and realistic portraits. Collected objects from here and there, hastily written notes on a café bill, a piece of old wallpaper or faded photographs are pulled out of their apparent banality and brought together to become a surreal, contemporary tale of urban life. |
